"The first fencing tournament in Ystad was arranged by Ystads Fäktklubb in
1935. It´s since then one of the biggest fencing tournament in Sweden. In
the 71th edition, ”Ystad International 2005” 203 fencers from 13 countries
participated.

June 17th – 18th 2006 it´s time for the 72th edition of Ystad International
with
* womens epée and mens epée (Scandinavian Open Championships)
* womens sabre and mens sabre
* veterans epee (40 years and older)
* epée-competitions for epée and sabre teams
